How do I make the connection?

  1. Navigate to 'Settings > Integrations' at the bottom left of your MailBlue account.

  2. Click on the blue 'Add an integration' button at the top right and select 'BigCommerce'.

  3. Enter your BigCommerce domain name and then click on 'Connect'.

  4. You will now be redirected to your BigCommerce environment, where you will be asked to authorise the connection.

Good to know:

  • From now on, all placed orders will be synchronised directly to your MailBlue account.

  • Contacts coming in through this connection will automatically be tagged as 'bigcommerce-customer'.

  • All contacts placing an order will end up in your MailBlue account, regardless of whether they have ticked 'Allow marketing' or not. Since an order is immediately synchronised to MailBlue, this applies to contacts with any status. This also applies to orders with a status of failed payment or refunded.

  • Checkouts by 'guests' in your shop environment will not be synchronised to MailBlue.

These are the fields that will be transferred from BigCommerce to MailBlue under the contact information:

Load past orders

You can load historical order data from your BigCommerce into MailBlue. Synchronised past orders will not trigger an automation with 'Makes a purchase'. To load the historical data, follow these steps:

  1. Click on 'Settings > Integrations' at the bottom left of your MailBlue account.

  2. Click on the connected BigCommerce store.

  3. Then click on the 'Sync historical data' button.
