A double opt-in, or confirmation of subscription, is not (yet) mandatory in the Netherlands. For this reason, within MailBlue we give you the option to choose between a single or double opt-in.
The major advantage of a double opt-in is that people actually confirm that the email address belongs to them and that they have also entered the email address. This shows a higher level of interest. The downside is that some subscribers may forget to confirm their subscription, resulting in missed sign-ups.
Below is an explanation of how to enable or disable the double opt-in. If you want to know how to customise the confirmation email for a double opt-in, read this article.

- Click on 'Website' in the left menu
- Then click on 'Forms'
- Click on the form for which you want to customise the confirmation email.
- Click on 'Options' in the right menu.
- Then click on the "pencil" icon in the 'Form Action' section:
- Toggle the double opt-in on or off under 'Subscription confirmation'.
