How do I remove contacts that have no interaction with my emails using the Engagement Management Tool?

The Engagement Management Tool cleans up the list(s) by removing unengaged contacts. Unengaged contacts are contacts who have received campaigns and/or automation emails but have never taken any action (opened, clicked on a link, etc).

We recommend using this tool regularly to keep the lists 'healthy', as over time this leads to improved open rates and reduces spam complaints, bounces, and unsubscribes.

With the Engagement Management Tool, you can remove all contacts who have never taken action on any of your emails, or you can make a selection for a specific period. This function does not consider the date the contact was created or subscribed, but rather the most recent date the contact took action on an email.

Please note: This tool does not show how many contacts will be removed or which contacts will be removed. An unengaged contact that is only present in the list you selected will be removed from your account. This action cannot be undone. Therefore, we recommend exporting all contacts as a backup before using this tool.
