How do I integrate with Calendly?

In this article, you will learn how to connect your Calendly environment to your MailBlue account. To make this possible, you need to have a Calendly Standard, Team, or Enterprise subscription and have website tracking activated.

With the integration, you can add or update contacts in your MailBlue account after they have scheduled an appointment in Calendly. The integration does not add contacts to a list. To subscribe contacts who schedule a meeting to a list, you need to create an automation where you add the action 'add to list'.

During the integration, only the standard Calendly fields can be linked to a MailBlue field. The date field in Calendly is linked to a 'date and time' field in MailBlue. If you do not yet have such a field in MailBlue, make sure to create one before making the connection. In this article, you can learn how to create a 'date and time' field.

How do I make the connection?

  1. In MailBlue, navigate to 'Apps' and search for the 'Calendly' option. Click on this tile to start the connection.
  2. Then click on 'Link an account' and follow the instructions provided by Calendly.
  3. After signing in, a screen will appear showing all created meeting options. Select the meeting you want to link to MailBlue.
  4. You will notice that 'Email' is a required field in MailBlue (ActiveCampaign). To fill this in, you can choose the field in Calendly where the email address is included.

  5. To link additional fields, click on 'Add field mapping'.
  6. After assigning all desired fields, click on 'Finish'.

Once contacts sign up for a Calendly meeting, a contact will be automatically created/updated in your MailBlue account. They will receive two tags: 'calendly-integration' and 'calendly-integration-[your_meeting_name]'. You can use these tags to start an automation and then subscribe them to a list.

How do I remove the connection?

  1. In the MailBlue menu, click on 'Apps' and then on 'Linked apps'.
  2. Choose 'Calendly' by clicking on the tile.
  3. Click on 'Disconnect', and confirm to stop the connection.
