How can I make a list of contacts perform the same action? (e.g. add to automation)

You have a list of contacts that you want to manually place all at once in an automation. Of course, you can do this for each contact individually, but that takes a lot of time. Fortunately, you can also do this in bulk. In this article, you will learn how to do this.

Click on 'Contacts' in the main menu of MailBlue. In the top right, you will see a search bar. By clicking here, the option 'Advanced search' will be displayed. After selecting this option, you will have the opportunity to set conditions.

Here you can choose the conditions for your selection of contacts. In this example, we want to display everyone in the 'Test List' because we want to place this group in an automation.

In the condition builder, select the option 'Actions' from the drop-down under 'Select a condition'.

Next, choose 'In list' and you can click on the relevant list in the field next to it.

After clicking on the green 'Search' button, all contacts in this list will be displayed.

To edit all these contacts at once (to place them in the desired automation in this case), click on the 'Edit all' button.

Subsequently, the bulk editor will open.

In our outlined example, we want to add the contacts to an automation. To do this, we click on the action 'Add to an automation', click on the arrow to open the drop-down, and select the relevant automation there. It is also possible to search for an automation by using the search bar that is displayed below the drop-down:

After choosing the relevant automation, click on the blue 'Add' button and then on the 'Apply' button.

Then, you need to click 'Apply' again in the next screen.

Now all contacts from the 'Test List' have been added to the desired automation!

Of course, you can also search for a group of contacts based on other characteristics using the condition builder and then perform a desired action via the bulk editor.
