How do I integrate with Plug & Pay?

In this article, we will show you step by step how to connect Plug&Pay to your MailBlue account, and what the possibilities are. Plug&Pay is an online software that you can use to set up payment pages. After a customer purchases a product, it is possible to follow up with the customer directly from MailBlue. There is a direct integration available between Plug&Pay and MailBlue, regardless of the type of MailBlue subscription you have. It is also possible to connect both software through Zapier.

Direct Integration

To establish the connection, you need to be logged into your Plug&Pay environment initially. You can install the MailBlue plugin on Plug&Pay by clicking on 'Settings' > 'Plugins', from where you can create the link with the button 'Create Link'.

Once you have clicked the button, you will be asked to enter the API details of your MailBlue account. In this article, you can read more about where to find these details exactly.

Following up on a Purchase

Once you have established the connection, you will have the option to follow up on the purchase for a specific product. You can do this by navigating to the respective product and clicking on 'ESP'. At the bottom, you will find the option to add a rule to the product.

By adding a rule, you can specify what should happen within MailBlue when the contact makes a purchase. Based on the purchase, you can have four types of actions performed:

  • add a tag
  • subscribe contact to a list
  • adjust a contact field
  • place contact directly into an automation

If you prefer to follow up on contacts through an automation, we recommend subscribing contacts to a list in MailBlue through the integration. Subscribing to the list can then be used as the starting trigger for the automation. This way, you always have visibility in MailBlue on how the contact ended up in your account. It is also possible to set up multiple rules simultaneously, for example, you can assign a tag to the contact and subscribe them to a list.

Zapier

Plug&Pay and MailBlue can also be connected through Zapier. Zapier is a separate software that you can purchase through MailBlue, from where you can connect a variety of software, including Plug&Pay. There is also a free version, but you are limited to a maximum of 100 tasks per month. The integration via Zapier offers more possibilities in terms of actions that can be performed and the data that can be transferred. If you are interested in connecting through Zapier, you can read here how to request this.
