To create a new campaign email in MailBlue, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to 'Campaigns' in the left menu.
  2. Click on the blue 'Create a campaign' button in the top right corner.

The bar at the top will guide you through a number of mandatory steps.

  1. Under 'Type', enter a name to help you remember what this campaign is about. Only you will see this name.
  2. Under 'List', select the list to which you want to send the campaign.
  3. Under 'Design', choose the 'Email Designer' template.choose-email-designer-template.png

To create campaigns with the new designer, you can use the so-called 'Structures' and 'Blocks'. You can find these tools in the main menu on the right side, under the 'Content' tab.

With 'Structures', you can create different types of content blocks in the campaign. You can drag a structure into the campaign to customise it. You can add as many structures as you need for the design of your campaign.

Each structure has a certain number of 'containers'. You can choose a structure containing 1, 2, 3, or 4 containers. With these containers, you can use multiple campaign functions in one content block. For example, you can place a structure with 2 containers in the campaign. One container can be used for a text box and the other for an image.

Good to know: you can adjust the size and layout of the individual containers within a structure. To do this, click on the structure and its corresponding containers that you have dragged into the campaign. Then, an option 'To structure' will appear in the main menu on the right side. Clicking on this option will open a new menu:

In this menu, you can edit the padding or 'Spacing between containers'. If you click on 'To container' at the top of the menu, you will go back to the options of the entire campaign.

Once you have placed the desired structure in the campaign, you can start filling the structures with specific blocks.

Attention! If you want to add another container to a structure, you can click on the plus (+) sign in the top right. Once the container is added, you can easily adjust it to the size of the other containers by clicking on the equal (=) button.

A block is a specific type of content that you want to add to the campaign. Below you will find an overview of all types of blocks that you can add to design the campaign:

  • Image
  • Text
  • Button
  • Placeholder
  • Video
  • Social
  • Banner
  • Timer
  • Menu
  • HTML
  • RSS

To use one of these blocks, you can select the blocks in the main menu on the right side and drag them to the appropriate place in the campaign. Once dragged into your campaign, you can click on each of these elements to customise them with desired colours, font size, links, and much more.

To design the appearance of the campaign, click on 'Appearance' in the main menu on the right side. Here you can edit the structural elements. You will find the following editing sections:

Each of these sections further customises the style of the campaign.
