In this article, you can read more about the 'Automation Map' feature. Here you will find more information about the following:
You can find the Automation Map in MailBlue under the 'Automations' section in the left menu. Then click on 'Automation Map'.
In this feature, you will find an overview of all automations within your account that are connected to each other. In the overview, you can see the 'path' of contacts and the connections between your automations. From which automation do they flow to the next one, and which other automations are also connected here?
Please note: If you have fewer than 100 automations, all automations will be displayed on the map. If you have more than 100 automations, only automations connected to at least 1 other automation will be shown. In this case, only automations with a 'connection' will be displayed.
What makes automations 'connected'?
Automations with a connection are automations that work together to achieve a process through actions and triggers. They are literally connected and form a kind of start and follow-up. A good example of this is the Engagement Tagging automations (found in 'Recipes'), where part 1 directly follows part 2, and the automations work together to give contacts the right tag based on engagement.
Specifically, automations can be connected in the following ways:

Action 'Start an automation ...'
This action is located under 'Conditions and workflow' in the automation environment and ensures that another automation is started from this automation when the contact passes this step. -
Action 'End another automation'
This action is located under 'Conditions and workflow' in the automation environment and ensures that contacts, when they pass this step, are removed from the set automations. If the contact is not in any other automation at that time, it will skip this step and move on to the next one.
In addition to adding and removing contacts from/to other automations through the 'add to automation ...' and 'remove from automation ...' step, automations can also be connected in another way.
It may also be the case that an action in one automation triggers the start of another automation.
Connections of example actions and triggers are:

Automation A has an action 'Add tag'
Automation B uses the start trigger 'Tag is added' -

Automation A has an action 'Remove tag'
Automation B uses the start trigger 'Tag is removed' -
Goal achieved
Automation A has the action 'Goal'
Automation B uses the start trigger 'Goal is achieved' -
Contact field updated
Automation A has an action 'Update contact'
Automation B uses a trigger for 'Field changes' -
Score updates
Automation A has an action 'Adjust score'
Automation B uses a trigger for 'Score changes' -

Automation A has an action 'Add deal'
Automation B uses a trigger 'Added to pipeline ...' -
Update deal
Automation A uses the action 'Update deal'
Automation B uses the trigger 'Deal is being updated'
There are many more examples of actions within an automation that can be connected to a start trigger, causing another automation to start.
Which data is available via the automation card?
To access the automation card, as explained at the top of the article, navigate to 'Automations' and select 'Automation card'. The automation card will load and display both active and inactive automations. Active automations are those set to 'Active', allowing contacts to be added. These active automations are displayed on the card page with green dots.
Inactive automations are those with a status of 'Inactive'. Contacts cannot be added to these automations. Automations with this status are displayed in grey with a red dot.
Insight into connections
To see how an automation is connected to another automation, click on the desired automation on the card. The card will then display the selected automation and other automations it is connected to.
When opening the selected automation, it will be positioned in the middle of the card. Automations on the right side are those where the selected automation begins or ends. Automations on the left side start or end the selected automation.
Detail overview
A menu with automation details will appear on the right side. This overview provides statistics related to the selected automation. Below these statistics, you can find more information about:

Connections
Provides an overview of all automations that trigger the selected automation to start and/or end, as well as all automations that are triggered by this selected automation to start or end. Clicking on any of the listed automations will open the workflow builder of that automation. -
Contacts
Shows how many contacts are currently in the selected automation. Clicking on the link "Contacts currently in automation" will take you to a list of those contacts. -
Campaigns
Displays a list of all campaigns included in the selected automation, along with their corresponding open rates. Clicking on any of the campaigns will redirect you to the performance report. -
Goals
Provides an overview of all goals in the selected automation, along with their completion percentages. Clicking on the goal name will redirect you to the report.
Please note: Clicking on an automation without connections will only display the selected automation and its associated 'Automation Details'.
When viewing the automation card, you may see different types of connections, including:

Ends
This connection is red and uses a 'No' symbol. This means that the automation on the left side uses an action that ends an automation on the right side. -
Starts
This connection is green and uses an arrow symbol. This means that the automation on the left side uses an action that starts an automation on the right side. -
Starts and stops
This connection is yellow and uses an arrow symbol. This means that the automation on the left side uses actions that both start and stop the automation on the right side. -
Circular start
This connection is green and uses a two-way arrow. This means that the two connected automations use actions that trigger each other. -
Circular stops
This connection is red and uses a two-way arrow. This means that the two linked automations use actions that stop each other. -
Circular start and stop
This connection is yellow and uses a two-way arrow. This means that the two connected automations both use actions that start and stop each other.
